LAURA COLVIN

Laura has over 35 years of devoted experience providing counseling, mentoring, and facilitating professional workshops and training throughout the Tri-State area.

She has a passion for utilizing a holistic and strength-based approach

to encourage healing and promote spiritual and

psychological growth to positively impact clients’ minds,

bodies, and spirit. Laura’s goals are to provide clients with

the tools and strategies that they need by utilizing her educational training,

knowledge, skills, and experiences to assist clients to move toward behavioral, emotional, and spiritual stability. Her goal is to provide a warm and safe therapeutic environment while helping clients work through their challenges towards the road of healing, recovery, and change. 

Laura helps clients work through career exploration, self-esteem, communication, conflict resolution, anger management, and relational issues. As a born-again believer, she incorporates prayer, the Bible, and Christian principles into therapy sessions for those clients who so desire.  She applies a family systems orientation integrated with a biblical foundation to provide clinical consultation.  She has expertise in the following areas: teaching, school counseling, behavioral/mental health counseling, preaching, evangelizing, radio broadcasting and presenting seminars.

PASTOR STEPHEN

Stephen Thompson is a Teacher, Consultant, Life Coach, Author, and Licensed and Ordained Pastor.

Pastor Stephen is the Founder and Senior Pastor of House of Triumph Ministries, located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

Pastor Stephen teaches with great passion and intensity.

He has a genuine heart and love for God's people and strives to equip them to overcome challenges they may face along the journey.

He feels that showing the love of God

without any "hidden agenda" is what is needed in a world that has been skeptical of the church.

In other words, showing "Love in Action". Pastor Stephen currently serves as the Vice President of CCEAC, Inc. (Christian Counseling Education Assessment and Consulting).

Dr. Alan Daniel

Dr. Alan Daniel became interested in working with the underserved population in New York City, NY when he was a third-year college student in the Bachelor of Nursing program. He developed a burning desire to work with individuals and families to assist them in changing their lives by “helping them to help themselves” and make a difference in their communities. He worked in the fields of nursing, teaching, clinical and professional mental health counseling, and psychiatric counseling for over thirty-five years. He obtained the 2 for Excellence in Supervision from Breining College. In addition, he was awarded the Higher Education Award in 2017 by the American Naturopathic Medical Association.

His education has included:

Doctor of Clinical Pastoral Counseling – Lafayette College, Indiana

Joyce Reid is a retired Social Worker who specialized in child welfare services.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree from

Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and her Master’s Degree from Marywood College in Scranton PA.  She is a native of Philadelphia but has also lived in New Jersey for over 36 years. 

She is a member of several choirs and a devoted

member of her church where she serves on the Finance Commission, as well as other ministries.  She believes that she has the gift of Helps, as evidenced by the fact that she has been Secretary of the church for more than 40 years.   She has been assisting at CCEAC for 3 years
